Self-Direction Coordinator II
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, supervising/directing the Self-Direction Coordinator I staff, maintaining accounting of income and expenses for each individual in the program and provide monthly reporting for reduced case load, receiving Self-Direction service dollar requests and review for required documentation, maintaining communication with consumers, service coordinators, and other circle members, acting as liaison with Self-Direction partners/other community referral sources/consumers/and vendors as necessary, maintaining individual consumer files, reviewing notes/plans/and monthly reports, preparing monthly billing for Medicaid/Office for People with Developmental Disabilities , answering telephone inquiries or conflict calls, reviewing/processing direct care staff time sheets, and attending mandatory meetings and trainings.
Location- Utica, NY
Requirements- Two years clerical and customer service with one-year experience in a human services organization and one-year experience in a position requiring independent decision making.
Educational Requirements- High School diploma, Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Business or Human Services, preferred.
Knowledge- Medicaid, Disability awareness, and understanding of Independent Living philosophy.
Skills- Computer, excellent organization, ability to make decisions independently, problem solving, negotiation, ability to work with a diverse mix of consumers, professionals and vendors, oral and written communication.
Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle
