RCIL SELECTED FOR CELEBRITY BARTENDER HAPPY HOUR FUNDRAISER

Enessa Carbone to be RCIL’s Celebrity Bartender

The Resource Center for Independent Living, Inc. (RCIL) today announced it has been selected as the non-profit for Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica’s Celebrity Bartender Happy Hour Fundraiser.

RCIL is a civil rights organization that advocates for people with disabilities and provides a wide range of services for thousands of individuals throughout the State.

Enessa Carbone will serve as RCIL’s Celebrity Bartender.

Delta Hotels hosts this event to help local non-profits raise funds and awareness about their organization.

The date of the fundraiser is Wednesday July 24th from 5pm-7pm at Delta Hotel, located at 200 Genesee Street in Utica (former Radisson hotel).

During the timeframe of 5pm-7pm, all cash tips/donations given to the celebrity bartender and hotel bartenders will be donated to RCIL.

Enessa is Vice President of Lithia Motors, Inc. and former CEO of Carbone Auto Group.   Through her position with Lithia, as well as her own personal resources, she has heavily invested in the Utica area.

Over the last two years, Lithia Motors, Inc., through the Carbone Auto Group, invested over $20 million dollars in its local facilities and opened four new dealerships.

In addition, Enessa, together with Christine Martin, redeveloped the Westwood Building in downtown Utica (former Rite Aid Building) which now encompasses the Street Corner Urban Market, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches and new loft apartments.

The Westwood project has greatly contributed to the revitalization of downtown Utica.

RCIL CEO Zvia McCormick stated, “We are excited to be chosen by Delta Hotels to participate in this fun event as it will help spread awareness about RCIL’s mission and the important work we do for individuals with disabilities.  We encourage everyone in the community to join us to support this worthy cause, and I thank Enessa for her continued support of RCIL.”

Enessa Carbone stated, “I am proud to partner with RCIL to raise funds as a Celebrity Bartender.  RCIL is a wonderful organization and the Carbone Auto Group has a long history of supporting its mission and community efforts.   I am even more excited RCIL will be relocating to the former Boston Store which will further enhance the revitalization of downtown Utica.

Carbone continued, “The investment of community-oriented companies and organizations like Lithia and RCIL, along with individuals like Christine Martin, Rob Esche and Frank DuRoss is making Utica a better place to live, work and raise a family.  I hope everyone that loves Utica and is optimistic about its future comes out to support this great event.”
