Annual Non-Exempy Salary: $37,849.50
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide services to assist and support individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community.
- Provide accessibility consultation and technical assistance to agencies, businesses, public spaces, and other places that interact with members of the disability community.
- Work with individuals to increase accessibility in their homes and/or living spaces and assist in obtaining appropriate medical equipment of service.
- Maintain current knowledge of disability/accessibility laws/regulations.
- Collaborate and support team members on access issues and other advocacy projects. Coordinate steps for projects.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completed ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program or successfully complete the training within the first six months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Two to four years working with people with disabilities.
- Medicaid, Medicare, and community-based services for people with disabilities and seniors.
- Fair Housing Act, Rehabilitation Act (Section 504), ADA, state and local building codes, environmental modifications (E-mods), durable medical equipment (DME), and Assistive Technology (AT).
