Bilingual Disability Rights Advocate - Utica


Full time


RCIL is looking for a new Bilingual Disability Rights Advocate to provide information, referral and education services directed at increasing the consumer’s self-advocacy skills. The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Complete initial consumer intake and assessment.
  • Provide information and referral services.
  • Maintain detailed files.
  • Have a basic knowledge of Social Security Administration, Department of Social Services, Legislative Process, Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act.

RCIL is a civil rights organization that offers individuals with disabilities a wide range of independent living and advocacy services through the numerous programs we manage. 

Who may be considered:

Successful candidates will have at least two or more years working with people with disabilities. Fluency and high-proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in a second language is heavily preferred for this position.

Placement: Full-Time

Wages:  $15.39/hr.
