Grants Writer

Description

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop grant proposals;
  • Research and identify potential funding sources both public and private;
  • Develop partnerships with community agencies and cultivate relationships with potential funders;
  • Manage contracting process to include review of contract language, grant tracking and database maintenance; and
  • Coordinate remittance of periodic reporting requirements for various funding sources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Candidates must have three years of grant writing and research and program development experience, and experience working for a Not-For-Profit and Community Based Organizations (CBO) is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, along with strong oral and written communication skills, is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field is required. 

Placement: RCIL offers multiple schedule options for its staff. Employees can work a flexible schedule with three-day weekends every other week OR a standard 8:00am-4:00pm schedule working from home every other Friday. Additional flexible 30-to-37.5-hour weekly schedule is an option.

Compensation: Dependent upon experience.

Travel Required: Yes

Location: Utica, NY
