Service Documentation Specialist
Self-Direction is a program funded by the State and Medicaid that allows individuals the ability to live independently in their own homes and the ability to integrate into the community. Each participant as well as each budget are unique. Self-Direction is completely consumer driven. Participants and their Planning Team decide what services will best suit their needs.
The Service Documentation Specialist will review Self-Direction service notes for accuracy and timeliness in accordance with Medicaid and OPWDD billable standards. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Maintain a caseload within the Time & Attendance system;
- Approve or deny time blocks based on Medicaid and OPWDD billable standards;
- Review uncompleted blocks daily in the system and take appropriate steps to have them completed or removed from the system;
- Follow-up daily on email and phone with participants and workers regarding unapproved time blocks and outstanding issues with service notes; and
- Track and save all follow-up using appropriate spreadsheets and folders.

Who may be considered:
A minimum of two-to-three years of customer service and data entry experience are required.
Strong customer service skills and experience in Microsoft Office are required; experience with Time & Attendance systems, case notes and Medicaid billing are preferred.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Wages: $14.36 per hour
