I’m currently looking for a caring, outgoing, dependable, energetic person to work with my 20 year old son, through the RCIL Self Direct Program. My son is wheelchair bound, but enjoys his walker and bike, when weather permits. Employee candidates need to be experienced and comfortable with the following: • diaper changing • feeding, both by mouth & via g tube (follows ketogenic diet under dr supervision, but will train) • bathing (I have adaptive shower chair and ADA bathroom/roll in shower • daily care, such as, but not limited too... brushing teeth, dressing, cleaning face, hands, etc, as needed. • using a hoyer lift/ceiling track system for transferring • occasional lifting • having fun in the community, and transporting to a variety of events and activities, if needed, a wheelchair van will be provided for staff use... pending a valid drivers license and clean driving record • following a routine and working towards goals • light cleaning, such as, but not limited too... changing bed sheeting, washing used dishes, help organize supplies that are delivered monthly • picking up from activities, crafts, meals, etc. • willing to run occasional errands, regarding my son • enjoy taking trips, possibly over night..and, events and activities in the community 40 hr per week, $15-$19 per hr depending on experience.
