I am looking for help in Sherburne, preferably someone with a CNA or hands-on experience dealing with the mentally and physically disabled. I am hiring help for my sister, who is 38, has multiple disabilities and requires much to full assistance with ADL’s (Activities for daily living) Job duties include but are not limited to: Showering, Dressing, Toileting, Preparing and cutting up her food into small pieces to prevent choking, Assistance with and at times feeding her if necessary. Monitoring her for choking, Distracting her from self-injurious behaviors when necessary. Accompanying us on shopping trips and anyplace else she needs to go. Some lifting will be required with transfers. (You will be assisted with these at all times) While she is non-verbal, she greatly enjoys being talked to and being read to. You will be with at least one other person at all times, as she is a 2 person transfer. The pay for this position will be $15.50 an hour. I am currently looking for WEEKEND coverage as well as possible fill-in during the week when the workers need a day off or call in sick. This position is through RCIL, who will be your employer of record, and you will be paid by them. I will be your direct supervisor, and you will be applying for the position of “Direct Support Professional.” You will need to interview, provide references, fill out an RCIL application, pass a criminal background check and possibly a drug test. A valid driver’s license will be required, as well as dependable transportation to and from work.
