Staff Support Person (Central Square) Looking for a staff support person(s) for a 33 year old male with TBI – Traumatic Brain Injury. He is friendly and out going. He is high functioning however needs assistance in some daily living skills, planning and activities. Some of his goals are to increase his independent living skills, live on his own someday (he lives with parents), budgeting, making appointments, cooking, cleaning and community activities. He likes to go fishing, camping, walking nature trails, landscaping, golfing, visiting friends and family, playing cards and board games. These are just a few of his many likes. Responsibilities include transportation, assisting him on outings of his choosing. Must work on goals in his Self- Direction Plan, such as Assist him with verbal cues and or prompts, cooking, cleaning and any other assistance that may be needed. Employment is through RCIL – Resource Center for Independent Living, they handle all hiring, payroll, benefits etc. Direct management is from family. Experience with TBI is not necessary but helpful. Being patient, understanding and reliable is a must! He is an early riser and mornings are better for him. Hours are: Monday - Friday, with flexibility. Some weekends are available if looking for extra hours. Pay is $16 per hour. Mileage and staff activity fees are reimbursed. Benefits are available if working full time hours.
