Direct Support Professional

Description

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide assistance and training to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community;
  • Follow a care plan for social activities with consumer;
  • Provide support with activities such as: cooking, cleaning, shopping, money management, personal hygiene and social activities; and
  • Assist with physical transfers within the home or to vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A valid Driver’s License and own transportation is required.  Candidates must have experience working with individuals with disabilities.  A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Wages:  $12.85 per hour, $13.35 per hour after six months of successful employment.

Travel Required: Yes

Locations: Herkimer & Oneida County
