Community Habilitation Staff – Support for Young Adult with Autism

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Community Habilitation staff person to support a 22‑year‑old male with autism. The ideal candidate will help facilitate meaningful social engagement, community participation, and personal enrichment through a variety of activities.

Role Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 support during community outings such as basketball, mini golf, local classes, and other recreational or skill‑building activities
• Encourage social interaction, communication, and confidence in community settings
• Ensure safety, wellbeing, and a positive experience during all activities
• Transport the individual to and from community venues (mileage reimbursement provided)
Qualifications
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum (professional, educational, or related field experience preferred)
• Patient, dependable, and committed to fostering independence and growth
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Ability to build rapport, support sensory needs, and follow individualized strategies
Compensation
• Very competitive pay rate
• Mileage reimbursement for transportation during shifts

assist with the care of a young woman with special needs. No prior
experience is necessary — we are willing to train the right person.

Details:
• Pay: $18.65 per hour - paid weekly - Shift differential offered for
overnight shifts.
• Full Time and Part Time positions available.
• Schedule: We are looking for someone with schedule flexibility.
Overnights and Weekends are the primary shifts available, some
evenings.
• must be available to work on alternate weekends if needed
• Some day and midday coverage may be needed by consumer.
• Location: Norwich, NY
• PPL (Public Partnerships LLC): Wages are paid through PPL. If you
are already enrolled with PPL, that’s a plus!
• Driver's License and reliable vehicle for transport would be a plus.
