Starting Pay Rate: $17.95 per hour (plus 5% bilingual differential)

Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide outreach to the community to promote the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
- Distribute SNAP eligibility information to individuals through outreach campaigns and education.
- Meet with local social services staff to discuss barriers to participating in SNAP.
- Prescreen individuals and households for eligibility and assist applicants with the SNAP application process.
- Attend all Nutrition Outreach and Education Program trainings and webinars.
Education:
- A College Degree is preferred; a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Fluency and proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in a second language is preferred, but not required, for this position.
- Knowledge of SNAP policy and implementation.
- Strong customer service and computer skills.
- Experience with community outreach.
