Registered Nurse - RN - Part Time / Per Diem

Status: Part Time / Per Diem

At Home Independent Care is looking for a reliable RN who will back up/assist current RN with licensed home care agency responsibilities:

  • Conduct nursing assessments and preform nursing interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality
  • Audit/Approve PCA notes
  • Cover shifts when necessary
  • Rotate on-call coverage with other AHIC staff members (to include some weekends and holidays)

Education: RN required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum three (3) years of direct nursing experience, preferably in a home health care setting, working directly with individuals
  • Supervision of other healthcare professionals (PCAs, HHAs,)
  • Experience in handling areas involving older adults  and working with people with disabilities is required
  • Excellent customer services and written/oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License, reliable transportation and acceptable driving record
