Statewide Systems Advocacy Network Coordinator

Utica NY


The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Coordinate and facilitate system-wide advocacy efforts in coordination with RCIL’s Advocacy and Leadership Teams;
  • Assist in implementing outreach plans related to system-wide disability rights issues; and
  • Complete and submit monthly reports regarding SSAN activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Candidates will have at least three-to-five years of experience working with people with disabilities, along with experience in advocacy, leadership and community outreach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to disability rights and the Independent Living Philosophy. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an extensive knowledge of disability rights laws, rules and regulations are required. An Associates Degree with a minimum of two years of Human Services experience is required.

Wages:  $15.39 per hour

Shift: RCIL offers multiple schedule options for its staff. Employees can work a flexible schedule with three-day weekends every other week OR a standard 8:00am-4:00pm schedule working from home every other Friday.
