- Purpose:
The Fundraising Professional is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial support for the organization’s mission. This role focuses on donor engagement, cultivation of philanthropic partnerships, and the strategic oversight of fundraising events and campaigns to meet development goals. The position includes supervision of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, ensuring alignment between fundraising, branding, and outreach strategies.

Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation support, events, and digital fundraising.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Collaborate with leadership to set clear, measurable fundraising goals aligned with organizational objectives and growth targets.
- Create donor engagement plans and communication strategies to build long-term relationships.
- Identify new and innovative revenue streams and donor engagement tactics to diversify funding sources.
- Create targeted campaigns and appeals tailored to different donor segments, including individual, corporate, and institutional donors.
- Work closely with program and finance teams to align fundraising messages with programmatic impact and to ensure compliance with funder expectations.
- Design, lead, and oversee the strategic planning and execution of key fundraising initiatives, including high-profile events such as galas, donor stewardship experiences, and digital fundraising campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to produce fundraising materials. (e.g., appeal letters, newsletters, social media content)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and proven relationship building ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing and communication skills for donor correspondence and proposal writing.
- Ability to conduct needs assessment and ability to coordinate projects.
- Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively communicate key data and develop presentations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and computer skills.
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, donor engagement strategies, and giving trends.
- Proven ability to plan fundraising events from concept to execution.
Education and Experience
- Advance degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business administration, nonprofit management, philanthropy or a related field required. Proof of degree required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related fields.
