AT Tuesday: Let’s turn the page on barriers to reading
Join RCIL for the final chapter of our AT Tuesday series as we spotlight audiobooks—an empowering form of Assistive Technology that brings stories and information to life for people with learning and physical disabilities. Whether it’s enhancing comprehension, supporting vision loss, or easing physical strain, audiobooks help make reading accessible for all.
Join us for our final installment of the AT Tuesday series as we celebrate audiobooks! Audiobooks, which are human-narrated audio versions of published books, can bring to life information and stories for people with learning disabilities. Listening to a text, rather than reading it from the page, can help someone process the information better, engage more deeply, and remember the content. Audiobooks can support people with physical disabilities, such as vision impairment or struggles with fine motor skills/dexterity, too.
That’s a wrap of AT Tuesday with RCIL! Our series offered just a few examples of the many forms of AT that exist to help everyone live full and independent lives.
