The Many Hearts Senior Care Center at RCIL is a social model adult day care program that provides an enriching environment where seniors can socialize and participate in leisurely activities with their peers. This on-site program provides a safe and supportive environment for seniors seeking assistance with living independently in our community.

Located in the historic Dorothy Smith Center for Advocacy on Genesee Street in Utica, Many Hearts Senior Care Center at RCIL is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

We offer a variety of activities throughout the day, ranging from live entertainment to discussing current events and finding out what each individual enjoys and making sure it becomes a part of their day! Participants have the opportunity to enjoy arts & crafts, live entertainment, trivia games, an exercise program, community outings, and much more. 

The benefits of joining the Many Hearts Senior Care Center at RCIL include:

  • Socialization,
  • Recreational and leisure activities,
  • Exercise Program,
  • Nutritious meals and snacks,
  • Community Outings
  • Door-to-door transportation (limited), and
  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living as needed.

We also provide caregivers with information and education, assistance with maneuvering through the long-term care system, community resources and ongoing support. We specialize in support for individual's with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Payment for attending the Many Hearts Senior Care Center at RCIL come from a variety of sources:

  • Medicaid Waivers (Traumatic Brain Injury, Nursing Home Transition and Diversion, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities),
  • Managed Long-Term Care Insurance,
  • Office for the Aging, and/or
  • Private pay.

Door-to-Door Transportation may be available for individuals in Oneida County and parts of Herkimer County.
