Individualized Support and Services (ISS)

Individualized Support and Services (ISS) provide a housing subsidy to assist individuals with developmental disabilities who wish to live independently in the community with housing costs.  The housing subsidy is calculated using the individual’s income and the office of Housing and Community Renewal (HCR) payment standards.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Individuals must be at least 18 years old and live independently in the community;
  • Individuals must be eligible to receive OPWDD service coordination services;
  • Individuals must be living in the community in a non-certified residence alone, with a spouse (significant other) or roommate(s), as the head of household with dependent children, or with a live-in caregiver;
  • The individual may not live with family or others as a dependent.
