Family Support Services (FSS)

Family Support Services (FSS)

Family Support Services reimburses families for expenses incurred that directly relate to the individual’s developmental disability.

Family Support Services is a locally funded program created to help fund services, respite care, therapies, doctor recommended adaptive equipment, accessibility adaptations, or other specialized supports not covered by the state service plan, private insurance, or another funding source.

Eligibility Requirements:

LIFE at RCIL staff members will help the family to obtain and submit the appropriate forms when reimbursement for services is indicated.  There is no age limit for Family Support Services as long as the individual lives with the family. Individuals must be OPWDD eligible. If you are not sure if you are OPWDD eligible, our staff can work with you to figure it out.
