RCIL is a civil rights organization that offers individuals with disabilities a wide range of independent living and advocacy services through the numerous programs we manage. The purpose of this position is to coordinate the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program in designated Counties. As the Coordinator you will be responsible for the CDPAP in assigned counties, meeting with consumers and potential employees in consumer’s home to introduce and explain program, obtain signed agreement from consumer, and review employment packet with consumer and their employee(s), as well as monitoring and tracking the consumer’s ability to manage their services and provide additional training as needed. This position requires you to maintain databases, complete monthly reports and assist with special reports. Also you will be answering telephone inquiries and/or conflict calls, verify timesheets and make additional home visits to consumer as needed. You will also be providing back up in other counties.
We are looking for a candidate who displays professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of work. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, however, an Associate’s degree is preferred. Two years’ experience working in a human services field is required. Must be knowledgeable on the Americans Disability Act, Medicaid and our Independent Living Philosophy. To function successfully in this position computer skills are needed in the Microsoft Office suite. Must have your own transportation and a valid license.
Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Russian are highly desired.
Salary/Hourly Wage- $15.38/hr.
