Caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias can be challenging.

RCIL is here to help! We are offering a variety of joint enrichment events for those with memory loss and their Carevgivers. We can also help you find local trainings and community supports that are available to assist in enhancing the quality of life for both caregivers and those with Alzheimer’s Disease or other Dementias.

Are you the Primary Caregiver for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease or other Dementias? If so, the Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) invites you and those you care for on a free trip to the Herkimer Diamond Mines on Tuesday, May 29th. RCIL will be providing round-trip transportation, admission, soft skill prospecting and lunch. The bus will depart from the RCIL Amsterdam office (located at 347 West Main Street in Amsterdam) at 9am and will return to the office at 3pm. This is a free event for you and those you care for.
