Caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias can be challenging.

RCIL is here to help! We are offering a variety of joint enrichment events for those with memory loss and their Carevgivers. We can also help you find local trainings and community supports that are available to assist in enhancing the quality of life for both caregivers and those with Alzheimer’s Disease or other Dementias.

Are you the Primary Caregiver for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease or other Dementias? If so, the Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) invites you and to an event where instructor Brenda Dwyer will teach attendees how to make their own jewelry! Thursday, December 6th from noon to 3pm at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts (located at 2736 State Highway 30 in Gloversville). This is a free event for those who care for individuals with memory loss. Lunch and all supplies will be provided. This event is RSVP only. Are you the Primary Caregiver for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease or other Dementias? If so, the Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) invites you to an event where you’ll enjoy an afternoon of painting and decorating your own snowman! Participants have the choice of doing a 30” lighted snowman, or a set of three 8”, 10”, and 12” snowmen. Monday, December 17th from 1pm to 4pm at The Mulberry Tree Studio (located at 2609 Route 30A in Fonda). This is a free event. Brunch and all supplies will be provided. This event is RSVP only.
