Self Direction participant is searching for multiple staff/multiple positions. Hours available may vary a bit but generally M-F 8am-11am M, W, F, Sat, Sun 12N- 8p Tues, Thurs 12N-430p. Self Direction participant is seeking a dependable and reliable staff to assist them with supports both in the home and out in the community. In home supports would include assisting the individual with some personal hygiene tasks, organization of service related paperwork and assistance with money management, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. Supports in the community would include various task related and leisure activities- such would include taking the individual out to grocery shop, do personal banking, go to the post office, accompany to appointments, as well as going out for personal shopping, dining out, concerts/sporting/community events, or just out and about to get exercise/sight see. Individual does plan annual trips out of state to visit family and would request assistance from staff to take them there, if possible. A valid drivers license and transportation to bring individual out in the community will be needed. As stated previously, individual is seeking someone reliable, dependable, and would prefer hiring someone who has experience working with the developmentally disabled. Starting rate of pay is $19.00/hr and mileage is reimbursed at 50 cents per mile when individual is in the vehicle. Some expenses such as meals and admission fees while working with the individual can also be reimbursed.
